Itinerary
Day 1 Zurich
Upon arrival in Zurich self transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the Hotel Swissotel Zurich or similar.
Day 2 Zurich-Lucerne-Mount Titlis-Interlaken
Departure for Lucerne. Short sightseeing tour and free time to explore on your own. At noon continue to Engelberg. Take the rotating Rotair cable car to the top of Mount Titlis and its spectacular glacier. From an elevation of 3.020 m, you can enjoy spectacular views of the Central Alps. In the afternoon continue to Brienz and visit the local wood carvers. Your next destination is Interlaken at the foot of Mount Jungfrau.Overnight at the Hotel Interlaken or similar.
Day 3 Interlaken-Bern-Gruyeres-Geneva
From Interlaken drive along Lake Thun to Bern. After a sightseeing tour of the city, continue to Gruyeres, a picturesque village with its impressive medieval castle. Overnight in cosmopolitan Geneva. Overnight at the Hotel Ramada Encore or similar.
Day 4 Geneva-Montreux-Zermatt
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Geneva and visit the beautiful parks along the lake, the cathedral and the European headquarters of the UN. Then travel to Lausanne and Montreux, passing the magnificent Chillon Castle. Free time to explore Montreux. In the afternoon travel up the Rodano river valley as far as Tasch. From here you continue by narrow gauge train to Zermatt, nestled at the foot of mighty Mount Matterhorn. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Alex or similar.
Day 5 Zermatt
After breakfast full day at leisure. We recommended an optional excursion to the top of Mount Gornegrat (not included). Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Alex or similar.
Day 6 Zermatt-Glacier Express-St. Moritz
In the morning board the famous Glacier Express train (no guide). Take in the impressive views of mountains, glaciers and snow capped peaks from the comfortable panorama rail car. Lunch included on the train. In the afternoon you arrive at the famous St. Moritz ski resort. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Schweizerhof or similar.
Day 7 St. Moritz-Liechtenstein-Zurich
In the morning travel via the Julier Pass and Chur to Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. Free time to explore this charming city. In the afternoon continue to Zurich via the Toggenburg region, famous for its picturesque houses. Arrival at Zurich and self transfer to the Swissatel around 5 pm for overnight
Day 8 Zurich-End of Tour
Tour ends after breakfast. Self transfer to airport or you can extend your stay in Switzerland or continue to Italy or Austria.
