Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Arica
Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel. In the afternoon you will be taken on a tour of the city visiting the San Marcos Church-Cathedral, the Arica-La Paz rail station, the historical Morro and its museum, Costanera Sur Avenue with its La Lisera and El Laucho beaches, Municipal Casino and the artisan fair. Overnight Hotel Arica.

Day 2 Arica-Chungara Lake-Putre-Arica
After breakfast you will be taken on a tour towards the El Lauca National Park crossing the Lluta Valley to observe the geoglyphs in the slopes of the hills to arrive to the town of Poconchile for a visit to its church. Continue for a tour of the town of Socoroma. Enter the Lauca National Park, genuine sanctuary of nature with the Chungara Lake, the highest lake in the world. In its calm water the Parinacota, Pomerape, Quinchazata and Guallatire volcanoes are reflected, with their permanent fumaroles and where, in this spectacular landscape, hundreds of guanacos, alpacas, vicunas, llamas and viscachas rest. Lunch will be served in the town of Putre which will be followed by a tour. At dusk return to the hotel. Overnight Hotel Arica.

Day 3 Arica-Azapa Valley-Arica
After breakfast you will be taken to the fertile valley bordering the Sombrero hill with its panels of geoglyphs where the so called “Flock of Camelidae” stands out, tour to the characteristic Sagrado Hill of Alto Ramirez, with all the ancestral beliefs expressed in geoglyphs. Continue to the Pukara of San Lorenzo, defensive village raised on artificial terraces and where cane houses were built. Tour of the Archaeological Museum of the University of Tarapaca, to observe the old ways of the inhabitants of Arica until the arrival of the Spaniards. You will see the mommies of the Chinchorro culture which are among the oldest in the world. Overnight Hotel Arica.

Day 4 Arica-End of Tour
After breakfast you will be taken to the airport or you can extend your stay in Arica or continue with another tour of Chile or Bolivia
