Itinerary

Day 1 Bogota
Upon arrival you will be met and taken to your centrally located hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure to begin your exploration of cosmopolitan Bogota.

Day 2 Bogota
Breakfast at your hotel. During the morning you will have a view of the city, visiting the Bolivar’s Square where the most important building of the city are located, such as the Cathedral, the Palace of Justice, the President’s house, the National Capital, you will continue your journey through the Colonial District of La Candelaria and visit the Gold Museum with it’s collection of 30,000 pre-colombian ornaments, after this visit you will continue to Bolivar’s Country House where the Liberator Simon Bolivar lived. Finally you will take a cable car to the top of Monserrate that lords over Bogota where you will admire a wonderful view of the city. Duration of this tour is 4 Hours approximate. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Bogota.

Day 3 Bogota-Coffee Plantation-Bogota
Today you will visit a coffee plantation located one hour from Bogota. Here you will learn the coffee process how it is grown, harvested, toasted and prepared.. Full day tour with lunch included. Overnight in Bogota.

Day 4 Bogota-Villa de Leyva
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning leave the city to the north passing by important national monuments like El Puente de Boyaca and Tunja until you arrive Villa de Leyva, a beautiful colonial white town, preferred destination of artists and designers. You will visit the main tourist points like La casa del Fundador, the Santo Ecce Homo convent and the fossil. Continue to a vineyard where you will have an explanation of the process and preparation of wine produced in Colombia. You will also enjoy a little taste of the local wine. Overnight in Villa de Leyva.

Day 5 Villa de Leyva-Zipaquira-Bogota
Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time you will begin your journey back to Bogota stopping at Zipaquira where one of the most unique underground constructions is found on the way. The Salt Cathedral built inside a salt mine were figurative and abstract images emerge and give the place a sense of sacredness. Arrival to Bogota for overnight.

Day 6 Bogota-Cartagena
Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cartagena (not included) Upon arrival you will be met and taken to your centrally located hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight in Cartagena.

Day 7 Cartagena
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, you will visit the most important monuments of the colonial city, such as Saint Phillip’s Fort, La Popa Hill, the walled city, as well as the residential districts of Bocagrande and Castillo Grande. Overnight in Cartagena.

Day 8 Cartagena
Breakfast at your hotel. During the morning you will be transferred to the dock for a visit to El Rosario Island (Majagua), leaving to the south of the bay of Cartagena. These Islands are considered a National Natural Park with a complex of coral bank populated with a great variety of fauna of the reef. Opportunity to swim and practice snorkeling. Full day tour with typical lunch included. Return to Cartagena and transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Cartagena.

Day 9 Cartagena
Breakfast at your hotel. Day at leisure to enjoy the colonial city. At 6.30 P.M pick up from your hotel in order to start the nocturnal tour on the “Corralito de Piedra” along with a professional guide, you will experience a magical night through the little streets and squares with colonial balconies. One of the defensive towers on top of the wall will be visited where a beverage will be served while you will enjoy a Caribbean sunset. The tour continues towards Santo Domingo Square, which a church with the same name and also sculptures from the worldwide known Fernando Botero are located. Here you will enjoy another beverage. Finally the circuit finishes at a restaurant in the area. Dinner included with a glass of champagne. Overnight in Cartagena.

Day 10 Cartagena-End of Tour
After breakfast you will be taken to the airport. You can extend your stay in lovely Cartagena or continue to the coffee area or Medellin.
