Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Budapest
Upon arrival in Budapest you will be met and taken to your centrally located hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure to begin your exploration of the Hungarian capital located on the banks of the beautiful Danube. Overnight in Budapest

Day 2 Budapest
After breakfast you will enjoy a tour of charming Budapest. You will see the Opera House, Heroes Square, the Millenium Memorial, Elizabeth Bridge, view from Gellert Hill, Fisherman’s Bastion and a walk in the Castle District. Afternoon is at leisure to shop for handicrafts or relax in one of the city’s many cafes. Overnight in Budapest.

Day 3 Budapest-Danube Bend-Budapest
On this tour you will visit the former royal residence of Visegrad, Esztergom, center of the Catholic in Hungary with an interior visit to the cathedral. Lunch is included. In the afternoon you will be taken on a walk of Szentendre a famous artist town with medieval atmosphere. A visit to the Caprice Hungarian Jewelry Museum and factory will be made. Overnight in Budapest.

Day 4 Budapest-Royal Hungary Tour-Budapest
Today you will enjoy a tour of the former Summer residence of Queen Elizabeth (Sissi) in Godollo (the second largest Baroque Chateau in the world). You will be taken on a tour of the inside of the palace, the magnificent gardens, the stables and riding school. You will also see the famous Hungarian cowboys known as “Csikosok.” Overnight in Budapest.

Day 5 Budapest-Lake Balaton-Budapest
This morning you will enjoy an excursion first to Herend, the world famous porcelain town with a guided visit to its factory. Coffee will be served after the tour and you will have the chance to shop for porcelain at factory prices. Afterwards drive to the peninsula of Tihany, Hungary’s famous nature reserve with an interior visit to the charming abbey. Lunch will be served in a traditional Csarda (3 course menu with wine). After lunch you will drive to the spa resort of Balatonfured before your return to Budapest. Overnight in Budapest.

Day 6 Budapest-Puszta Area-Budapest
After breakfast you will drive to Kecskemet, the famous historic town where you will have time to enjoy a walk around the town center. Proceed to the heart of the Puszta and a horse center where you will enjoy a performance of the famous horseman. A 3-course lunch with wine and live Gypsy music will be served in a traditional Hungarian tavern known as a “Csarda.” Late afternoon return to Budapest where you spend the night.

Day 7 Budapest-End of Tour
After breakfast you will be taken to the airport or rail station or you can extend your stay in Budapest or continue on to Prague or Vienna.
