Itinerary

Day 1 Munich
Upon arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure in the charming Bavarian capital. Overnight in Munich at the Hotel Park Inn Munchen East or similar.

Day 2 Munich
After breakfast you will be taken on a tour of Munich that includes an inside visit to the Nymphenburg Palace. You will also see the Residence, Opera, Maximilian & Leopoldstreets, the Marienplatz and the City Hall. In the afternoon you will have time to visit the Christmas Market. This evening dinner will be served in a typical restaurant. Overnight in Munich.

Day 3 Munich-Obberammergau-Neuschwanstein Castle-Munich
This morning drive south via the town of Oberammergau, where every 10 years the famous Passion Play takes place. Continue to the Wies Church before arriving at Hohenschwangau, where you will have lunch at the Hotel Lisl/Jagerhaus. Afterward visit Neuschwanstein Castle, built by the fairytale King Ludwig II. In the afternoon return to Munich for overnight.

Day 4 Munich-Nuremberg-Regensburg-Munich
After breakfast drive north to the city of Nuremberg, where on your city tour you will see the Reichsparteitagsgelande, courtroom 600 and the ancient city wall. You will have time to visit the largest and most famous Christmas Market in the world. On the return to Munich as stop will be made at the city of Regensburg where you will visit the Christmas Market at the castle of the Thurn & Taxis family, famous as being the inventors of the modern post delivery system. Overnight in Munich.

Day 5 Munich-Salzburg-Munich
After breakfast leave Germany for Austria and the Mozart city of Salzburg. During your city walk you will see the birthplace of the famous composer, the Getreidegasse pedestrian street and the Cathedral. Should the weather be nice, you will enjoy a ride with a cog railway up to the Fortress Hohensalzburg. From this spot you will have a beautiful view over Salzburg and the surrounding mountain scenery. If the weather conditions should not allow this activity, you will visit the inside of the Mozarthaus. You will have time to stroll the charming streets and visit the Christmas Market. In the late afternoon return to Munich. Overnight in Munich.

Day 6 Munich-Rothenburg-Augsburg-Munich
This morning drive to another highlight of your tour, a visit to the quaint town of Rothenburg o.d. Tauber, the medieval jewel of Germany located on the famous Romantic Road. This ancient city has a well preserved city wall, parts of it can be climbed and walked around, gorgeous half-timbered houses, a beautiful market square with the City Hall and Jakobskirche, with the famous wood carved alter by Tilman Riemenschneider. You will have time to visit the charming Christmas Market. On the return to Munich a short stop will be made in the city of Augsburg, where your guide will give you an impression of the town that in former times was dominated by the Fugger family. In the evening you will enjoy a farewell dinner at the Ratskeller, a typical restaurant located in the basement of the Munich City Hall. Overnight in Munich.

Day 7 Munich-End of Tour
After breakfast self transfer to the airport. You can extend your stay in Munich or continue to Berlin, Dresden or Prague.
