Itinerary

Day 1 Trelew-Puerto Madryn
Upon arrival at the Trelew airport you will be met (must arrive by 9am) and taken to Puerto Tombo rockery to admire a magnificent colony of millions of Magellan penguins. Continue to Puerto Madryn for dinner and overnight. Hotel Peninsula

Day 2 Puerto Madryn
After breakfast you will enjoy a full day tour of the Peninsula Valdes. Passing by Ameghino Isthmus, located between the Nuevo and the San Jose gulfs. You will visit Puerto Piramide, a sea lion rockery. From June to November you can take an optional whale watching excursion. Continue to Punta Delgada for a view of its important colony of sea lions and to Caleta Valdes, where sea elephants seem to have found their ideal natural habitat. Lunch is included today. Day 3 Puerto Madryn-Ushuaia
After breakfast transfer to Trelew airport for your flight to Ushuaia (not included). Upon arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel. In the afternoon you will enjoy a city tour that includes the End of the World Museum. Dinner and overnight in Ushuaia. Hotel Los Nires-Tourist class or Hotel Ushuaia-first class

Day 4 Ushuaia-Tierra del Fuego National Park-Ushuaia
After breakfast you will be taken on a full day tour of the Tierra del Fuego National Park located about 7 miles from Ushuaia. It preserves typical species of the Andean-Patagonian forest such as firebushes, beech trees, nires, box leafed barberries and flowers. Before entering the national park you will board the Train to the End of the World for an unforgettable trip along the original terreplain where the “Old Prisoners” train ran until 1947 for their expeditions into the National Park in search of wood for heating. The highlight of the park is Lapataia Bay, the southernmost tip of the continent, with a wonderful view of the Beagle Channel. Here, the old inhabitants of the area have left their testimony in “concheros,” incredible archeological deposits. Dinner and overnight in Ushuaia.

Day 5 Ushuaia-El Calafate
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to El Calafate (not included) Upon arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel for dinner and overnight. Hotel Michelangelo-tourist class, Hotel Los Alamos-first class

Day 6 El Calafate-Glacier Cruise-El Calafate
After breakfast you will be taken to Puerto Bandera about 31 miles from El Calafate to board a catamaran to enjoy a full day lake excursion to Upsala Glacier and Onelli Bay, cruising among hundreds of icebergs that have detached from the glacier. Upsala is the largest continental glacier in the Southern Hemisphere. The height of its walls varies between 196 to 262 feet. It has an area of 229 sq. miles. Dinner and overnight in El Calafate.

Day 7 El Calafate-Perito Moreno Glacier-El Calafate
After breakfast you will be taken to Perito Morneo Glacier, one of the world’s largest active glaciers, declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO because of its breathtaking beauty and its unusual activity. Dinner and overnight in El Calafate.

Day 8 El Calafate-End of Tour
After breakfast you will be taken to the airport our you can take our optional tours to Torres del Paine National Park in Chile or to interesting Fitz Roy.
