Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Vienna
Upon arrival you will be met and taken to tour hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure to begin your exploration of Imperial Vienna. Overnight in Vienna at the Hotel Rathaus Wein & Design
Day 2 Vienna
After breakfast you will be taken on a tour of the city that includes a drive along the Ringstrasse to see such architectural gems as the Museum of Fine Arts, State Opera House the National History Museum, the new MuseumsQuartier, the former Hapsburg winter residence, the Hofburg, Parliament, City Hall, and the Burgtheater. The highlight of the tour is an inside visit to the Schoenbrunn Palace. Afternoon at leisure. This evening you will enjoy a wine tasting of 3 different wines with various spreads at the Zwoelf Apostelkeller ( a charming city center Heurigen-wine tavern and restaurant.) with dinner afterwords. Day 3 Vienna
After breakfast meet guide for your 3 hour walk in the city center visiting the Naschmarkt, Vienna’s big open air market with local specialties and restaurants. In the afternoon enjoy a typical Viennese break at a “Wurstelstand” (sausage stand) next to the Albertina Museum, enjoy a sausage of your choice (cheese kransky, fried sausage or frankfurter sausage) with mustard, ketchup and bread or potato biscuits with cream cheese filling on chive sauce (vegetarian), drink of your choice (0,3 l beer, white wine mixed with mineral water or soft drink), dessert: Mannerschnitten. Day 4 Vienna
After breakfast you will enjoy a 40 minute horse drawn carriage ride through the center of Vienna. The ride begins at St. Stephan’s Cathedral and ends at the Gulaschmuseum restaurant where you will enjoy a typical Viennese “Flakergulasch and a small beer. In the evening you will enjoy dinner (drinks not included) and a concert at the Vienna Kursalon, ticket in category C. Concert is daily at 8:15 pm, 3-course dinner possible before (at 06:00 pm) or after the concert (10:00 pm) Overnight in Vienna at the Hotel Rathaus Wein & Design
Day 5 Vienna-End of Tour
After breakfast you will be taken to the airport or you can extend your stay in beautiful Vienna. You can continue your tour with visits to Bratislava, Budapest, Prague, Venice or Ljubljana.
