Itinerary

Day 1 Lucerne
Arrive in Lucerne by 1st class train from the Swiss border or any airport. Upon arrival self transfer to your centrally located hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure to begin your exploration of this charming city located on a lake. Overnight Lucerne

Day 2 Lucerne
After breakfast full day is at leisure to enjoy the historical city of Lucerne. We suggest visits to the Lion Monument and the Wooden Chapel Bridge. Overnight in Lucerne

Day 3 Lucerne-Interlaken/Grindelwald
After breakfast self transfer to the rail station where you board the famous Golden Pass Panoramic Brunig train to Interlaken. The scenery you experience is characterized by beautiful wooden chalets, weathered and browned by the sun in a wonderful landscape. Overnight in your choice of Interlaken or Grindelwald.

Day 4 Interlaken/Grindelwald-Jungfraujoch-Interlaken/Grindelwald
Today you will enjoy an excursion up to the Jungfraujoch, known as the Top of Europe. The Jungfrau Railway takes you up to the Jungfraujoch at 11, 333ft. it is the highest railway station in Europe. Experience the breadth and scope of snow capped peaks and eternal snow of the longest glacier in Europe, the Aletsch Glacier. The region has been declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage region. Overnight in your choice of Interlaken or Grindelwald.

Day 5 Interlaken/Grindelwald-Montreux
This morning self transfer to the rail station where you board the Golden Pass Panoramic BLS Train which features the special Salon Bleu carriages. The train takes you from Interlaken through the rural Simmental region, renowned for prosperous farms and typicall Swiss cows to Zweisimmen. From there the journey continues with the Golden Pass Panoramic MOB train to Montreux. Do not miss the grandiose views of Lake Geneva and its terraced vineyards. Overnight in Montreux.

Day 6 Montreux-Chocolate Train-Montreux
Today you will enjoy a sweet day. In Montreux board the famous Chocolate Train with its nostalgic Belle Epoque or Panoramic carriages. On the journey coffee and a croissant will be served. In Gruyeres you will visit a cheese factory. Afterwords a bus will take you to the village center where you will have time to visit the village and its castle. The bus will take you back to the station where you board the train again and head for Broc. The Nestle/Cailler Chocolate factory awaits you and you will see a film about chocolate making. After the film you will enjoy a factory tour and tasting. Late afternoon return to Montreux. Overnight in Montreux.

Day 7 Montreux-End of Tour
After breakfast return to the Swiss border or the airport. You may extend you stay in any part of this beautiful Alpine country or continue to Austria or Germany.
