Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Puerto Iguazu
Upon arrival at the Iguazu airport you will be met and taken to your hotel. The magnificent falls falls surrounded by a most exuberant subtropical forest have been included by UNESCO among the Natural Monuments considered as a World Heritage Site. You will be taken on an excursion to the Argentine side of the falls, walking along the upper and lower paths, to get a really close view of the imposing 275 waterfalls which cascade down from a height of 230ft. You will also see the amazing variety of ferns, orchids, begonias, birds and butterflies. Dinner and overnight Sheraton International Hotel which is located inside the National Park. Garden view room.
Day 2 Puerto Iguazu
After breakfast you will visit the Brazilian side for a panoramic view of the falls, framed by a myriad of rainbows. In the afternoon take an open train departing from the Visitor Center to the “Garganta Station” where you will take a less than 1 mile walk up to the Devil’s Throat balcony, to share one of the greatest shows on earth. Return by train to the Visitor Center. Continue to take the “Great Adventure,” a brief navigation that will allow you to approach the bottom of the San Martin and Tres Mosqueteros Falls with an outstanding view of Devil’s Throat. You will then take a 4WD truck to a fascinating jungle safari along the Macuco trail, to get in touch with the secrets of the rain forest. Dinner and overnight at the Sheraton International Hotel.
Day 3 Puerto Iguazu-Yacutinga Lodge
After breakfast you will be taken to the Iguazu Forest Reserve with its exclusive eco-tour resources along with interpretative geobotanical circuits, giant and strangulating trees, natural palmettos, giant ferns and ecological bridges. In the afternoon, depart to Puesto Tigre. Transfer through the Argentine National Park to La Blanquita Bay. Upon arrival, embark on motor boats that navigate the upper Iguazu River to the Yacutinga Lodge. Welcome drink at the lodge. Remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy your surroundings. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4 Yacutinga Lodge
After breakfast you will be taken on a tour of the rainforest. Lunch will be served at the lodge. In the afternoon you will take a floating trip through the Gallery Forest at the Riacho San Francisco. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5 Yacutinga Lodge-End of Tour
This morning you will enjoy a guided hike through the Yacutinga Private Reserve. After brunch, you will be taken to the Puerto Iguazu airport. You can extend your stay in Argentina or continue with one of our other tours to Brazil, Chile, Paraguay or Bolivia.
