Itinerary
Day 1 Dubrovnik
Upon arrival you will be met and taken to your centrally located hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure to begin your exploration of the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Dinner and overnight Hotel Ivka or similar.
Day 2 Dubrovnik-Split
Morning city tour of Dubrovnik that includes the Franciscan Monastery with one of Europe’s oldest pharmacies, Rector’s Palace and the Cathedral. Afternoon depart for Split, driving along the Adriatic Coast and the Neretva River Delta. Dinner and overnight Hotel President or similar.
Day 3 Split-Trogir-Zadar
Morning city tour of Split that includes the Diocletian’s Palace which is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list with Peristyle, Jupiter’s Temple and the Cathedral. Continue to Trogir, a picturesque medieval town where you will visit the Cathedral of St. Lawrence. Proceed to Zadar for dinner and overnight. Hotel Pinija or similar.
Day 4 Zadar-Zagreb
After breakfast your city tour will include the Roman Forum and St. Donatus Church, a magnificent monument of Romanesque architecture. Afternoon depart for Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Dinner and overnight Hotel Panorama or similar.
Day 5 Zagreb-Plitvice
Morning city tour of Zagreb that includes the fortified Upper Town, the city’s historical center, St. Mark’s Church with its multicolored roof, the Cathedral, the Croatian National Theater and University. Afternoon departure to the Plitvice Lakes. Dinner and overnight Hotel Park or similar.
Day 6 Plitvice Lakes
After breakfast, tour the Plitvice Lakes National Park which in on the UNESCO World Natural Heritage list. The park consists of sixteen lakes each at a different level, joined in a series of cascading waterfalls. Surrounded by a dense forest, the Plitvice Lakes are a natural phenomenon of a rare and unique beauty. Dinner and overnight Hotel Park or similar.
Day 7 Plitvice Lakes-Dubrovnik
After breakfast depart for Dubrovnik. Dinner and overnight Dubrovnik at the Hotel Ivka or similar.
Day 8 Dubrovnik-End of Tour
After breakfast you will be taken to the airport. You can extend your stay in Dubrovnik or continue to Montenegro or Bosnia & Herzegovina.
