Itinerary

Day 1 Munich
Upon arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to begin your exploration of the Bavarian capital. Overnight in Munich.

Day 2 Munich
This morning enjoy a Hop-on, Hop-off tour of downtown Munich, seeing the Koenigsplatz, Old and New Pinakothek, the Isartor (City Gate), the Royal Palace, the Angel of Freedom and Odeonsplatz. Next, view the Olympic Park, site of the 1972 Summer Olympics and which, today, has become an attractive sports and leisure center. The platform on the Olympic Tower provides a superior view over the city of Munich. The afternoon is at leisure.

Day 3 Munich
A full day at leisure to discover the Bavarian Capital at your own pace

Day 4 Munich-Salzburg
This morning, transfer on your own to the train station for your train to Salzburg. Upon arrival, make your own way to your selected hotel just a few blocks away. The rest of the day is free to relax, shop or start exploring the town on your own.

Day 5 Salzburg
Today’s highlight: enjoy a Salzburg & Sound of Music Tour. This half day tour combines Salzburg historic sights, the beautiful lakes and mountains and many of the locations from the movie “The Sound of Music”. The afternoon is at leisure to shop, or to sit back and relax in a restaurant or cafe.

Day 6 Salzburg
A full day at leisure to discover Salzburg at your own pace.

Day 7 Salzburg-Vienna
This morning, transfer independently to the train station for your train to Vienna. Upon arrival, make your own way to your selected hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure to begin exploring the “City of Music” on your own.

Day 8 Vienna
Vienna has a rich and varied history. The 10th century marked her rise as a major trading center. Later, under the rule of the Habsburgs, Vienna was noted as a cultural capital. On your morning city tour, see the historic sights of Vienna. The highlight will be a visit to the showrooms of Schonbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburg family. The tour ends by the Opera building, where your afternoon is free. You may want to continue exploring on your own, shop, or relax over a Viennese pastry.

Day 9 Vienna
A full day to stroll through town, or perhaps to pay a visit to an enticing Viennese pastry shop

Day 10 Vienna-End of Tour
After breakfast self transfer to the airport. You can extend your stay in historic Vienna or continue to Budapest, Prague, Bratislava or Ljubljana.
