Itinerary

Day 1 Reykjavik
Upon arrival to Reykjavik self transfer (we recommend Flybus) to your centrally located hotel. We suggest a stroll down the city’s main shopping street Laugavegur or visit the Einar Jonsson Sculpture Museum. Overnight in Reykjavik.

Day 2 Reykjavik-Husavik
In the afternoon enjoy a domestic flight from Reykjavik to Husavik where a guide will be waiting to meet you and give you a small ‘city’ orientation. Overnight in Husavik.

Day 3 Husavik
After breakfast spend the day in Husavik at leisure or book any of the optional tours available. Overnight in Husavik.

Day 4 Husavik-Reykjavik
In the morning transfer to the domestic airport in Husavik for your flight back to Reykjavik. Self transfer to hotel your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Reykjavik.

Day 5 Reykjavik-End of Tour
After breakfast self transfer to the airport (we recommend using the Flybus). You can extend your stay in Reykjavik or continue to Greenland, Faeroe Islands or Scandinavia.

Fall and Farmland: From Husavik through Adaldalshraun lava field which originated from an eruption in the region thousands of years ago. One of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland, Godafoss, “Waterfall of the Gods” is a magnificent site along with the rock formation and pseudo crates. Sweeping valleys dotted with picturesque farms to the beautifully restored turf farm of Grenjadastadur. On this tour you will also cross Laxa by the Laxa power plant and pass Hveravellir where greenhouse activity will be explained with using geothermal energy.Duration 3-4 hours-A tour with a local guide and admission to the Grenjadastadir museum.

Husavik Saga and Culture: A guided saga and culture walk in the town of Husavik. Start from your accommodation and go through a route where sagas and stories of the area will be shared and visit exhibitions and museums. You will get to know a bit of the local atmosphere in Husavik.A walking tour with a local guide and entrance fee. Duration 2-3 hours.

Husavik Northern Lights: Pick up from accommodation and head out to the countryside looking for northern lights. Itinerary/locations might depend on circumstances, along the coast or up to inland. A super jeep tour with a local guide. Duration 2-3 hours.

Asbyrgi tour: One of Iceland’s legendary and fascinating wonders is Asbyrgi, a lovely hoof shaped enclosure, surrounded by towering cliff walls. It is situated at the north end of the glacial river canyon of Jokulsa and serves as a gateway to the national park. From Husavik you will explore the Tjornes peninsula on your way to the area of Kelduhverfi. A tour with a local guide. Duration 4 hours.

Myvatn and Dettifoss waterfall: Sightseeing tour exploring Lake Myvatn and the Dettifoss waterfall, the most powerful waterfall in Iceland. The Myvatn area is one of the Iceland’s most popular destinations and is renowned for its natural beauty. The mystical area with its magnificent landscape and rich animal and bird life makes people want to visit it, observe and explore. This tour highlights Myvatn’s and Jokulsargljufur canyon natural wonders and includes stops at the Dettifoss waterfall, Lake Myvatn nature baths, Dimmuborgir lava rocks and the cliffs along with Skutustadagigar craters. A super jeep tour with a local guide. Not Included: Admission to the Nature Baths. Duration 8 hours.
