Itinerary

Day 1 Frankfurt-Heidelberg-Frankfurt
This morning you will be taken on a tour of Heidelberg, the old university town on the banks of the Neckar River. Your city walk includes a visit to the inner courtyard of the Heidelberg Castle. Lunchbox is included. Overnight Hotel Intercity in Frankfurt or similar.

Day 2 Frankfurt-Rothenburg
Depart from Frankfurt for a picturesque drive through the Spessart Mountains to Wurzburg which is located on the banks of the Main River. Continue to Rothenburg o.d.t., Germany’s well preserved “Jewel of the Middle Ages” with its ramparts, city gates, town hall and Jakobskirche (church) with an alter carved by the famous woodcarver Tilman Riemenschneider. Upon arrival in Rothenburg, a taxi will take you to your hotel. In the evening enjoy a city walk with Rothenburg’s historical Night Watchman. Overnight Hotel Spitzweg or Hotel Goldene Rose or similar.

Day 3 Rothenburg-Hohenschwangau
After breakfast a taxi will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the bus stop. Your coach drives along the Romantic Road passing such picturesque places such as Dinkelsbuhl, Nordlingen and Donauworth, with their high-gabbled houses and cobbled streets. Via Augsburg, a metropolis during the Roman Times and famous for old trade dynasties during the Middle Ages, you reach Hohenschwangau. Overnight Hotel Muller or similar.

Day 4 Hohenschwangau-Neuschwanstein Castle-Munich
In the morning pick up your entrance tickets for Neuschwanstein Castle at the front desk of the hotel and visit the famous “Cinederella Castle” built by King Ludwig II. In the late afternoon proceed to Munich, where the tour ends at around 7pm. Hotel nights in Munich can be added.

Reverse itinerary is available for an additional EURO 17 per person to be paid on the spot on the bus. Reverse itinerary also includes visit to Linderhof Castle. If taking reverse itinerary entrance fees to Linderhof Castle and Neuschwanstein Castle are not included and cost EURO 23 per person and must be paid on the spot. Tour ends in Frankfurt in the afternoon around 3.30pm.
