Itinerary

Day 1 Minsk
Upon arrival you will be met and taken to your centrally located hotel. Later you will be taken on a tour of the capital of Belarus, Minsk. You will see the Upper and Lower Towns, Independence Square with the House of Government, Victory Square with its eternal flame to the victims of World War II, Island of Tears and Troitskoye Predmestye (Trinity Suburb) with its restored buildings from the 19th century. Overnight in Minsk.

Day 2 Minsk-Vitebsk
After breakfast depart Minsk for Vitebsk. On the way you will stop for a tour of Strochitsa’s Outdoor Museum which represents all the ethnographic regions of Belarus with typical buildings that show the lifestyle of the country. Overnight in Vitebsk.

Day 3 Vitebsk
Full day tour of Vitebsk which was founded in 974 and is now considered the cultural capital of Belarus. The tour features the old streets of Vitebsk, City Hall, Slavic Bazaar Theater that is the site of an international art festival held every summer and the Museum of Mark Chagall and gallery. Overnight in Vitebsk.

Day 4 Vitebsk-Minsk
After breakfast return to Minsk with a visit to the Khatyn War Memorial dedicated to the village people were burnt together with their village by the Nazis in 1943. After arrival to Minsk remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Minsk.

Day 5 Minsk-Vilnius
In the morning depart to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. In the afternoon you will be taken on a tour that features the Vilnius Old Town, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, Cathedral Square, Gediminas Castle, President’s Palace, Vilnius University, Town Hall Square and St. Anne’s Church. Overnight in Vilnius.

Day 6 Vilnius-Trakai-Kaunas-Vilnius
Today you will visit Trakai and Kaunas. Trakai, is the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and one of the country’s oldest towns, now famous for its 15th century red-brick Gothic Castle built on one of the small islands in the middle of Lake Galve. Once the seat of Lithuanian dukes, the castle now houses a museum of local history and a huge collection of objects d’art including furniture, ceramics and snuff boxes. Continue to Kaunas the interim capital of Lithuania between the two World Wars. You will see the main architectural and historic sites of the Old Town, Town Hall Square, the Jesuit Church, the 14th century Cathedral, Vytautas Church, Perkunas House, Courtyard of the Theological Seminary and the ruins of Kaunas Castle. Return to Vilnius for overnight.

Day 7 Vilnius-Warsaw
Mid day transfer to the rail station for your train ride to Warsaw. Upon arrival you will be taken to your hotel. Overnight in Warsaw.

Day 8 Warsaw
Today’s sightseeing tour of the Polish Capital include the Old Town with its famous Castle Square, magnificent Cathedral of St. John and the site of the Warsaw ghetto. Continue to Lazienki Park, which lies along the banks of the Vistula River. Most notable for its Palace on the Water, the park’s landscaped gardens are a favorite with the locals and tourists alike. The tour ends with an excursion to the Wilanow Palace, a former royal summer residence, and a fine example of Baroque architecture. Overnight in Warsaw.

Day 9 Warsaw-End of Tour
After breakfast you will be taken to the airport. You can extend your stay in Warsaw or continue to historic Krakow or cosmopolitan Berlin.
