Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Belgrade
Upon arrival to Belgrade you will be met and taken to your hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure to begin your exploration of the Serbian capital. Overnight Hotel Moskva.

Day 2 Belgrade
Your morning city tour includes the main attractions such as the imposing Kalemegdan Fortress dramatically situated at the joining of the Sava and Danube Rivers, Republic Square, Mihajlova Street, Saint Sava Temple, the largest Orthodox Church in the city and Tito’s Memorial. Afternoon is at leisure to shop for handicrafts or relax in one of the city’s many charming outdoor cafes. This evening a traditional Serbian dinner will be served with live music in the old bohemian quarter of Skadarija. Overnight Hotel Moskva.

Day 3 Belgrade-Podgorica-Dubrovnik
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your short flight to Podgorica, capital of Montenegro. Upon arrival continue by motor coach to Cetinje, the historical capital of Montenegro located at the foot of Mount Lovcen. Continue along a spectacular steep road down to the Bay of Kotor, the deepest fjord in Southern Europe, and along the way view the towns of Risan and Kotor. Head towards Croatia for dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik. Hotel Lacroma or Hotel Argosy or Hotel Lapad.

Day 4 Dubrovnik
This morning you will enjoy a walking tour of Old Dubrovnik. You will visit the Rector’s Palace, the Ball Tower Clock, Orlando’s Column and the Sponza Palace. Continue to the Dominican Monastery and the Franciscan Monastery with its pharmacy, one of the oldest in the world. Remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight Hotel Lacroma or Hotel Argosy or Hotel Lapad.

Day 5 Dubrovnik-Split
Depart Dubrovnik and travel north along the spectacular Adriatic coast, past old fishing villages and new resorts, to Split. Upon arrival you will be taken on a city tour that includes the historic inner city built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. See the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle and the cathedral. Dinner and overnight Hotel Atrium.

Day 6 Split-Trogir-Plitvice Lakes
After breakfast, head to Trogir, the center of artistic activities. Scholars from around the world gather to study and paint here. Turn inland and travel to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Upon arrival, have your camera ready and take a walking tour around several of the lower lakes. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder with 16 terraced lakes surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation. Dinner and overnight Hotel Jezero.

Day 7 Plitvice Lakes-Opatija-Postonja-Bled
After breakfast return to the coast and travel along the beautiful Bay of Kvarner to its popular resort, Opatija. After some free time, journey north to Postonja, home to one of the largest caves in Europe. Tour the fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric train and by foot. Later, continue to Bled, beautifully set amidst the Julian Alps. Dinner and overnight Hotel Park or Hotel Rikli Balance.

Day 8 Bled
A sightseeing tour of Bled features the charming town with the lake shore, and imposing Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. The balance of the day is at leisure for optional activities, such as visiting the small island in the middle of the lake. Overnight Hotel Park or Hotel Rikli Balance.

Day 9 Bled-Ljubljana-Zagreb
Start your day with a walking tour of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. You will visit the most significant sights of the old city center such as the picturesque Central open-air Market and the Three Bridges, both designed by the famous architect Joze Plecnik. You will also see the Baroque Town Hall and Robba’s Fountain. Later Continue to Zagreb, the capital of Zagreb. Dinner and overnight Hotel Westin or Hotel Sheraton.

Day 10 Zagreb
After breakfast you will be taken on a city tour featuring the historic Upper Town, St. Mark’s Church, St. Catherine’s Church, the Cathedral, the Parliament and the Government Palace. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the winding streets of the old town or take an optional excursion to the countryside. Overnight Hotel Westin or Hotel Sheraton.

Day 11 Zagreb-End of Tour
After breakfast you will be taken to the airport or you can extend your stay in Zagreb.
