Easter Island (Rapa Nui)

Depart:
Independent Tour-Land Only

4 Days/ 3 Nights

Daily-March 1-December 31

Easter Island (Rapa Nui) is a vast isolated outdoor museum that lies approximately 2,355 miles west of the Chilean mainland. Its volcanic landscape is dotted with more than 600 gigantic statues, volcanoes with totora covered lakes and mysterious caves with impressive petroglyphs, figures carved into rocks, silent witnesses of a fully never interpreted civilization. How primitive men achieved such startling perfection is one of the many unanswered questions about Rapa Nui.

Standing upon the slopes of the Rano Raraku volcano, the immensity of Easter Island’s ancient undertaking is fully realized. The white sand beach of Anakena, where Hotumatua, the first king of the island landed after his epic crossing of the Pacific from Polynesia, the one and only village of Hangaroa with many multicolored houses, Ahu Tahai with its unique statue topped by a ten ton ring hat of red stone and Ahu Akivi with its seven moais overlooking the sea, are some of the many interesting sites to be enjoyed.

Transparent waters, pleasant semi tropical climate and friendly natives make Easter Island an unforgettable experience.

The Hotel Hanga Roa has 60 standard rooms and 30 superior rooms all with private facilities. All rooms provide satellite color television, direct dial telephone and minibar. Superior rooms are larger and have terraces. The hotel provides a restaurant, bar and outdoor swimming pool.
