Itinerary

Day 1 Frankfurt-Heidelberg-Frankfurt
This morning you will enjoy a tour to Heidelberg, the old university town on the banks of the River Neckar. Your city walk includes a visit to the inner courtyard of the Heidelberg Castle. Lunchbox is included. Overnight Hotel Intercity in Frankfurt or similar.

Day 2 Frankfurt-Rothenburg
Depart Frankfurt for a picturesque drive through the Spessart Mountains to Wurzburg, located on the banks of the Main River. Continue on the Romantic Road to Rothenburg o.d. Tauber, Germany’s “Jewel of the Middle Ages”, with its ramparts, city gates, town hall and Jakobskirche (church) with an alter carved by the famous Tilman Riemenschneider. Upon arrival in Rothenburg, a taxi will take you to your hotel. In the evening join the city walk with Rothenburg’s historical Night Watchman. Overnight Hotel Spitzweg or Hotel Goldene Rose or similar.

Day 3 Rothenburg-Augsburg
After breakfast a taxi will meet you at your hotel and take you to the bus stop. Your coach drives along the Romantic Road passing such picturesque villages as Dinkelsbuhl and Nordlingen with their high-gable houses and cobbled streets. Arrival at Augsburg in the afternoon. Overnight Hotel Intercity or Hotel Augusta or similar

Day 4 Augsburg-Hohenschwangau
After breakfast, you are invited to join on a city tour starting from the City Hall (Rathaus). You will get to know all important sights of Augsburg, which is famous for old trading dynasties (the Fuggers). In the afternoon you board again the coach to Hohenschwangau. Overnight at Hotel Mueller or similar.

Day 5 Hohenschwangau-Neuschwanstein Castle-Munich
In the morning pick up your entrance tickets for the Neuschwanstein Castle at the front desk of the hotel and visit the famous “Cinderella Castle”, built by King Ludwig II. In the late afternoon proceed to Munich, where you arrive around 7pm. Hotel nights in Munich can be added if needed.

Reverse itinerary is available for an additional EURO 17 per person to be paid on the spot on the bus. Reverse itinerary also includes visit to Linderhof Castle. If taking reverse itinerary entrance fees to Linderhof Castle and Neuschwanstein Castle are not included and cost EURO 23 per person and must be paid on the spot. Tour ends in Frankfurt in the afternoon around 3.30pm.
