Reykjavik is the ideal base for excursions to the most famous highlights of South Iceland: The Blue Lagoon, The majestic waterfall Gullfoss, The Geysir area with erupting hot springs and the National Park of Thingvellir, a historic site through centuries and a masterpiece of nature with a scenic lake and rifts, which mark where the continental plates of Europe & America meet.
Greenland:
When visiting Greenland, most people want to see the icebergs, and the best destination to see icebergs is without a doubt Ilulissat.

Itinerary

Day 1 Reykjavik
Upon arrival take the Flybus transfer to your centrally located hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure to begin your exploration of the charming Icelandic capital. Overnight Grand Hotel Reykjavik or similar.

Day 2 Reykjavik-Golden Circle Tour-Reykjavik
Breakfast at the hotel. Today visit the highlights of Iceland. Thingvellir National Park, Geysirs and the Gullfoss waterfall.The tour also includes a visit to the Friedheimar Greenhouse Cultivation Center. When back in Reykjavik you will have dinner at Restaurant Reykjavik, one of the oldest houses in town, and you will enjoy their famous Big Icelandic Fish buffet. Overnight Grand Hotel Reykjavik or similar.

Day 3 Reykjavik-IIulissat
After breakfast self transfer to the Reykjavik domestic airport for your morning flight to Ilulissat. Upon arrival you will be met and taken to the Hotel Arctic. Later you will be taken on a guided city walk of the town. Dinner will be served at the hotel this evening. Overnight Hotel Arctic.

Day 4 IIulissat
Breakfast. Free day to take one of the optional tours on offer. Overnight Hotel Arctic.

Day 5 IIulissat
Breakfast. Free day to take one of the optional tours on offer. Overnight Hotel Arctic.

Day 6 IIulissat
Breakfast. Free day to take one of the optional tours on offer. Overnight Hotel Arctic.

Day 7 IIulissat-Reykjavik
After breakfast morning at leisure until your noon flight back to Reykjavik (domestic Airport). Upon arrival self transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight Grand Hotel Reykjavik or similar.

Day 8 Reykjavik -End of Tour
After breakfast Flybus transfer to the airport. Yo can extend your stay in Reykjavik, visit more of Iceland, the Faeroe Islands or Copenhagen.

The Icebergs of Sermermiut-DKK 425 per person including snack-2-3 hours per person-By car as far as the road goes followed by an easy hike to a viewpoint from where the magnificent icebergs at the mouth of the Ice Fjord can be seen.

3 hour Snowmobile Adventure-DKK 1900 per person 2 passengers per snowmoblile-3 hour tour-Be an arctic adventurer and ride the old trail mail track by snowmobile. On the way cross the frozen terrain in search for breathtaking views. If possible cross the frozen sea to reach Oqaatsut for a refreshment break before you ride back to Ilulissat taking a different route to explore the back country. No previous experience is required. Polar suit included. Min 2 passengers

Fur clothes rental-DKK 100 per person per day- For special cold days and for dog sledge tours. The outside temperature might drop to minus 25 degrees Celsius – a cold but also unique experience! Luckily genuine Greenlandic seal skin Anorak and trousers are possible to rent.

Snow shoe expedition-5 hour tour-1250 DKK per person-Enjoy a 5-hour snowshoe walk with an experienced local guide following the Yellow Trail to enjoy the panorama view of the Sermermiut Valley, the icebergs and the Disko Bay. No previous experience is required, and everybody can learn how to move safely into the winter terrain with snowshoes.

Northern Light Snow Shoe Walk-2 hour tour-850 DKK per person-Experience the amazing Northern Light on this guided snow shoe walk. Provided with a headlight you will walk safely into the landscape. No previous experience is required, and everybody can learn how to move in the dark with the snowshoes and a headlight. Your guide will tell you about this natural phenomenon and the Inuits legends and traditions. Light refreshments included.

Northern Lights Night Rider-2 hour tour-DKK 1750 per person-This is a REAL Arctic Adventure. Experience the arctic sunset and enjoy breathtaking views driving on snow scooters into the wilderness to watch the Northern Lights.No previous experience is required. You will be provided the equipment and taught to ride completely safely with your experienced guide into the dark. Light refreshments included.

Home Visit-1.5 hour tour-DKK 325 per person-Visit a local family for a ‘Kaffemik’- the Greenlandic name for a sociable get-together where hot drinks and cake is served whilst exchanging news about your friends and family. Your guide will be there to help with translations. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about Arctic family life and how to survive the winter months in Ilulissat.

Dog Sledge Adventure-2 hours-2 passengers per sledge-DKK 1650 per person- Leave the civilized world and enter the arctic wonderland of ice and snow covered scenery and travel back in time into the world of the old polar explorers. Only operated when there is snow – expected to run from early/mid December to late March. Polar suit included. You have to be in fairly good physical shape to join this dog sledge tour.
