Itinerary

Day 1 Copenhagen
Self transfer to your centrally located hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure to stroll down the famous walking street “Stroget” or visit Tivoli Gardens Entrance fee to Tivoli is included. Overnight Hotel Kong Arthur.

Day 2 Copenhagen-Arhus-Skanderborg
After breakfast drive westward through the fertile scenery of Zealand to Odden where you enter the express boat to Jutland. After 1.5 hours of sailing you reach the quaint village of Ebeltoft with the smallest City Hall in Denmark. Continue to Arhus, where a visit to “Old Town” is a must (entrance to the Den Gamle By outdoor museum is included). Head for your hotel the Sophiendal Manor House Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Skanderborg-Ribe-Mogeltonder/Schackenborg
Breakfast at your hotel before you drive to the south-west corner of Denmark. En route visit the oldest town in Denmark Ribe which was founded over 1100 years ago. Don’t miss walking through the old town along the cobblestone streets and visit the famous Cathedral. Continue to Mogeltonder and Schackenborg Castle. Prince Joachim, the 2nd in line to the Danish throne, and Princess Alexandra live in the castle. You will stay in their inn that was decorated by the princess. Dinner and overnight Schackenborg Slotskro.

Day 4 Mogeltonder
After breakfast at leisure to explore the area. You may drive to the German city of Flensburg and see the Danish influence in the architecture. Overnight Schackenburg Slotskro

Day 5 Mogeltonder-Odense-Faaborg
After breakfast head east towards the island of Funen. Cross the Littlebaelt bridge and stop for a visit to Odense, the city of Hans Christian Andersen. Visit the museum dedicated to the famous writer (entrance fee included) and walk around the old town. Continue to the Faaborg with its maritime and picturesque atmosphere. Overnight at the charming and historic Hvedholm Slot.

Day 6 Faaborg-Copenhagen
This morning take the Big Baelt bridge, the 2nd largest suspension bridge in the world. We recommend a visit to Ringsted and its cathedral which used to be the burial church for the Danish Royal Family. Return rental car. Overnight Hotel Kong Arthur.

Day 7 Copenhagen-End of Tour
Tour ends after breakfast. You can extend your stay in Wonderful Copenhagen or continue to Norway, Sweden or Germany.
