Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Copenhagen
Upon arrival in Copenhagen you will be met and taken to your centrally located hotel. Dinner and overnight Hotel Admiral.

Day 2 Copenhagen
The day starts with a city tour of the Danish capital. Famous sights include the Royal Amailienborg Palace, Christiansborg Palace (Danish Parliament buildings), Gefion Fountain, Nyhavn, and of course the famous Little Mermaid. Afternoon free for exploring this fairy tale city. Tickets to the charming Tivoli Gardens are included to visit on your own. Overnight Hotel Admiral.

Day 3 Copenhagen-Overnight Cruise to Oslo
Morning free in Copenhagen. Possibility to visit the Carlsberg Glyptothek or the popular pedestrian shopping street-Stroget. Afternoon transfer by coach from your hotel to the DFDS Seaways terminal for your overnight cruise to Oslo, departing at 5pm. Scandinavian smorgasbord dinner will be enjoyed on the ship. Overnight 2-berth outside cabin. We recommend you bring carry on bags to your cabin as luggage assistance is not available. Large cases will be stored on the ship.

Day 4 Oslo
Enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast as you cruise along the enchanting Oslo Fjord. Arrival to Oslo at 9.45am, followed by a city tour of the Norwegian capital. You will see the highlights of the city and the impressive Vigeland Sculpture Park. Afternoon is at leisure. We recommend visits to the world famous Kon Tiki Raft and the Polar exploration ship Fram. Dinner and overnight Hotel Radisson Blu Plaza.

Day 5 Oslo-Geilo-Ulvik
After breakfast you will visit the world-famous Viking Ships. Afterwards departure from Oslo, driving via Honefoss along the charming Halling Valley to the tourist resort town of Geilo. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. After lunch cross the wild Hardanger Mountain Plateau to Fossli, stopping to view the thundering Voringsfoss Waterfall with a vertical drop of 180 m. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Brakanes, ideally located on the banks of the fjord. Fjord view room.

Day 6 Ulvik-Bergen
After breakfast, start a scenic tour along the beautiful Hardanger Fjord, famous for its many fruit orchards. Travel via the towns of Oystese and Norheimsund, arriving to Bergen around midday. Lunch at a local restaurant. This afternoon enjoy a 2 hour tour of Bergen, including a visit to the popular Fish and Flower Market, the famous Bryggen Harbor with its gabled pack houses, and the old Hanseatic Quarter. You will also ride on the funicular to Mt. Floien, for the best views of the city and the fjords below. Overnight at the First Hotel Marin, centrally located next to the old Bryggen harbor and close to the pedestrian shopping streets.

Day 7 Bergen-Balestrand
After breakfast departure from Bergen and drive via Dale to the town of Voss. Board the train in Voss for a ride on the beautiful Bergen Railway to the mountain station of Myrdal. From Myrdal ride on the amazing Flam Railway, a masterpiece of engineering descending 2,838 feet in less than one hour. The descent to the fjord side village of Flam offers opportunities for photo shots of exciting waterfalls and mountain scenery. After a short rest in Flam, begin a 2 hour cruise along the narrow Aurlands and Naeroy Fjords, both branches of the Sogn Fjord, the longest and deepest fjord in the world. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of cascading waterfalls, sheer mountain cliffs, snow-clad peaks, and a variety of wildlife. After disembarking in Gudvangen at the head of the Naeroy Fjord, continue by coach through the amazing Stalheim Canyon and Naeroy Valley, across the Vika Mountains to Vangsnes, for the short ferry crossing to the beautiful resort of Balestrand. Dinner and accommodation at Kvikne’s Hotel, superbly located on the banks of the fjord and surrounded by mountains. Fjord view room.

Day 8 Balestrand
After breakfast full day at leisure in this beautiful fjord setting. We suggest visits to the aquarium, art gallery or shop for handicrafts. Dinner and overnight Hotel Kviknes. Fjord view room.

Day 9 Balestrand-Geiranger
After breakfast departure from your hotel by ferry from Dragsvik to Hella, followed by a scenic tour along the northern side of the Sogn Fjord to Sogndal. The tour continues by road to Fjaerland, passing under the Jostedal Glacier, the largest in Europe, to the village of Skei at the northern end of beautiful Lake Jolster. Descend to the Nord Fjord, making a detour at Olden to visit the world-famous Briksdal Glacier. The journey up to the glacier will be made in open cars to give you the best views. Lunch will be served in a nearby mountain restaurant facing the glacier. After lunch the tour continues around the Nord Fjord via Loen and Stryn, to the picturesque village of Hellesylt. From here you go on board the ferry for the one hour’s cruise along the spectacular Geiranger Fjord, possibly the most impressive of all the Norwegian fjords. During the cruise you will pass close by some magnificent waterfalls, such as the Bridal Veil and the Seven Sisters. Dinner and accommodation at the excellent Union Hotel, overlooking the Geiranger Fjord

Day 10 Geiranger-Lillehammer-Oslo
More magnificent scenery today, as your tour crosses first the Grotli Mountains to Lom, then following Lake Vaga, descends the remarkable Gudbrands valley, renowned for its old farmsteads and beautiful river, to the world famous town of Lillehammer. Stop for lunch. After lunch continue alongside Lake Mjosa, to arrive back in Oslo during the early evening. Dinner and overnight Hotel Radisson Blu Plaza.

Day 11 Oslo-Karlstad-Stockholm
Continue by coach to the Swedish border, crossing into the attractive province of Varmland to arrive in the city of Karlstad, on Lake Vanern in time for lunch. After lunch continue through a landscape of forests and sparkling lakes to Stockholm where you arrive in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight Clarion Hotel Sign.

Day 12 Stockholm
The day starts with a tour of the Swedish capital. Famous sights include the Royal Palace, Parliament Buildings, Cathedral, Royal Theater, and more. You will also visit the enchanting Old Town (Gamla Stan) with its narrow cobbled streets and numerous antique shops. Highlight of the tour is a visit to the City Hall with its famous Blue and Golden Halls, where the Nobel Prize banquet is held each year. Afternoon free in Stockholm with the possibility to visit the amazing Wasa Museum or take a trip on one of the popular canal boat tours. Overnight Clarion Hotel Sign.

Day 13 Stockholm-Overnight Cruise to Helsinki
Morning free in Stockholm. Afternoon transfer to the Silja Line pier for your 5pm overnight cruise to Helsinki. You will sail slowly down the delightful Stockholm archipelago past numerous small islands. Dinner on board. Overnight outside cabin. We suggest you bring carry on bag to the cabin as luggage assistance is not available. Large cases will be stored on the ship.

Day 14 Helsinki-Overnight Cruise to Stockholm
Enjoy your buffet breakfast as you sail into Helsinki. Arrive 9am. Spend the whole day in this exciting city on the Baltic, retaining your cabin on the ship. Morning city tour of the Finnish capital. Famous sights include the Senate Square, Uspenski Cathedral, Parliament House, Finlandia Hall, Sibelius Monument and Park, the Underground Temple (Church in the Rock) and more. During the afternoon you can explore the busy market square or the many shops along the Esplanade. 5pm departure for Stockholm. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 15 Stockholm
After a tasty buffet breakfast arrive back on Stockholm at 9.30am. Transfer from the pier to the airport or you may extend your stay in Stockholm.
