Itinerary

Day 1 Bled
Arrival to the Ljubljana airport and transfer to your hotel at Bled. Dinner at a local restaurant at Bled. Overnight Hotel Park or similar.

Day 2 Bled
A sightseeing tour of Bled features the charming town with the lake shore, and imposing Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. You will also have the possibility to take a boat ride to the island in the lake of Bled, visit the baroque church and toll the bell. Then continue to the other alpine beauty the Bohinj Lake. The route will take you to Stara Fuzina where you will visit the Sheppard’s museum and taste the best Slovenian cheese. Free time in Bohinj until your return to Bled. In the evening travel to Radovljica and take a walk through this picturesque town until dinner with typical Slovenian cuisine and the visit of the Lectar Museum. Overnight in Bled

Day 3 Bled-Kranjska Gora-Nova Gorica
After breakfast travel to Kranjska Gora, the idyllic mountain resort under the Julian Alps. Cross the mountain pass Vrsic and enjoy scenic views and travel through the Trenta valley along the emerald Trenta River. Enjoy lunch in Bovec and taste a local special dessert, the Bovec pockets. After lunch continue to Koarid and visit world famous World War I museum. Continue to Nova Gorica for overnight. Evening at leisure for the visit of hotel casinos in the city center. Overnight Hotel Sabotin or similar.

Day 4 Nova Gorica
After breakfast travel to Gorika Brda, the biggest and the best wine-growing region of western Slovenia. Full day dedicated to the secrets of this hilly region. First stop at the towns of Gonjače and Smartno, to visit the local wine cellar, one of the biggest in Slovenia and enjoy wine tasting. Visit the Dobrovo Castle and end the visit of the region with late lunch with wine tasting at a local tourist farm. Return to Nova Gorica for overnight

Day 5 Nova Gorica-Lipica-Piran
In the morning departure from Nova Gorica and travel to the charming medieval town of Stanjel. The region of Karst is known for its dark wine Teran and Karst cold cuts, among which the most famous is the Karst prosciutto. Tasting at one of the famous local wine producers. Continue to the Lipica stud and visit the stables. Continue to Piran and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant by the sea. Overnight at the Hotel Piran.

Day 6 Piran
In the morning visit the picturesque town of Piran, known as the birth place of the famous composer and violinist Guiseppe Tarini. Then travel to Sečovlje and visit the salt pans where the salt has been harvested for more than 400 years. From Sečovlje travel to Amarje and visit an excellent local wine cellar. End your day in the medieval town of Pomjan with a short walk through the town and enjoy a typical dinner of Slovenian Istra. Overnight in Piran.

Day 7 Piran-Postojna-Ljubljana
Morning at leisure in Piran until departure for Postojna. After lunch in a local tourist farm visit the Postojna caves, one of the biggest and the most impressive caves in Europe. After the visit of the caves, you will stop also at the Predjama Castle before arrival to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. The rest of the day at leisure in Ljubljana. Overnight Hotel Central or similar.

Day 8 Ljubljana
In the morning enjoy a walking tour of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Visit the most significant sights of the old city center, the picturesque Central open-air Market and the Three Bridges, both designed by famous architect Joze Plecnik, the Baroque Town Hall and the Robba’s Fountain. Overnight in Ljubljana

Day 9 Ljubljana-Maribor-Pjuj
Travel to Maribor and enjoy a short walking tour of the city. After lunch in a local restaurant visit the Maribor tunnel wine cellar which is one of the greatest wine cellars in Europe and is located in the center of the city. Continue to Ptuj for a short walking tour of the city with dinner and overnight at the Hotel Primus or similar in Ptuj.

Day 10 Ptuj
After breakfast travel to Prekmurje, the north-eastern flat part of Slovenia. Enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant. The tour of the region will include a visit of the miles on the Mura River, of a typical local pottery studio and some other ethnological attractions of Prekmurje. Dinner and wine tasting. Overnight in Ptuj.

Day 11 Ptuj-Catez
In the morning travel to Rogatec and visit the open air heritage museum before coming to Olimije and visit one of the oldest pharmacies in the world, Enjoy lunch at a local wine producer before going on to the wine-growing area of Bizeljsko. End your day with tasting of sparkling wines at the famous producer of the region. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Catez spa. Overnight Hotel Terme.

Day 12 Catez-Ljubljana-End ot Tour
After breakfast transfer to the Ljubljana airport. You can extend your stay in Slovenia or continue to Croatia or Austria.
