Today, Andorra has developed into a prosperous nation thanks to its duty-free shopping and healthy tourism industry. For the more daring there is a cable car which transports you even higher up the mountain where the views are breathtaking.

The city is most recognized by its formidable crenelated walls and towers that were fully restored in 1853 by French architect Eugene Viollet-le-Duc.
