Itinerary

Day 1 Frankfurt
Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your centrally located hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure in this bustling city.We recommend an optional boat excursion on the Rhine from Rudesheim to St. Goar (regular and private services available). Frankfurt is the financial and commercial heart of Germany, a city full of fascinating contrasts between modern development and historic landmarks. Overnight Hotel Movenpick Frankfurt City or similar.

Day 2 Frankfurt-Rudesheim-Cologne
n the morning travel to Rudesheim. Short tour of the city’s historic center. Next board a boat and sail along the most picturesque stretch of the Rhine: the Lorelei valley. Disembark in St. Goar and travel to Cologne. Overnight at the Hotel Maritim or similar.

Day 3 Cologne-Hamburg
After breakfast depart for Hamburg. Upon arrival you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city. The city is internationally known for its elegant boulevards, the port, which is the second largest in Europe, and the famous neighborhood of St. Pauli. Overnight at the Hotel Novotel Hamburg Alster or similar.

Day 4 Hamburg-Berlin
In the morning you are free to explore at your leisure. Afternoon transfer to Berlin. Overnight at the Hotel ProArte or similar.

Day 5 Berlin
In the morning visit the capital’s historic highlights, such as “Unter den Linden” boulevard, remnants of the wall and the Brandenburg Gate. You will also explore the more modern parts of the city, including the German parliament and Potsdam Square. Afternoon free to visit Berlin at your leisure Accommodation at the Hotel ProArte or similar.

Day 6 Berlin-Postdam-Erfurt
After breakfast travel to Potsdam where you visit the Sanssouci Palace and Park. In the afternoon continue to Erfurt, also known as “Thuringian Rome” because of its architectural beauty. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city and visit the largest wooden bridge in Europe. Overnight at the Mercure Hotel Erfurt.

Day 7 Erfurt-Frankfurt
In the morning you are free to explore Erfurt at your leisure. As an alternative you may also visit the Wartburg (not included). In the afternoon transfer to Frankfurt, the financial and commercial heart of Germany, a city full of fascinating contrasts between modern development and historic landmarks. At 7 pm dinner with the rest of the group. Overnight at the Movenpick Frankfurt City.

Day 8 Frankfurt-End of Tour
Tour ends after breakfast. Self transfer to airport. You can extend your stay in Frankfurt or continue with one of our other tours.
